This song is about a sad little girl her parents fighting and splitting up.

This brokenhearted girl is confused, seeing her family happy in the Family Portrait but in reality all she can see and hear is crying lost Mom and Yelling Dad.

She’s pleasing them to stop and to try to work it out, 'Can’t we work it out? Can't we be a family?'

She feels guilty and she has a feeling that all what is happening is because of her and promises to be better hoping that her dad won't leave, 'I promise I’ll be better, mommy I’ll do anything'

She ran away after she got tired of everything without coming back, but she couldn’t . ‘I ran away today, ran from the noise, ran away. Don’t wanna go back to that place, but don't have no choice, no way.'

She asks them to pretend that they’re a happy family like in their family portrait. 'In our family portrait, we look pretty happy. Let’s play pretend, let’s act like it comes naturally.'

She wants things to go back to normal as it used to be. 'In our family portrait we look pretty happy. We look pretty normal, let’s go back to that.'

She remembers the night her Dad left, 'Remember that the night you left you took my shining star?'

This song shows how kids suffer from their parents divorce no matter how they try not to show it.
Elle veut que sa maman arrete de pleurer
elle veut que sa famille devienne une vrai famille au lieu de se battre
