c) Gandhi had to stop there while/meanwhile , the other passengers travelled on.
d) He stayed in the cold for hours, until the sun rose again.
e) He had been there since midnight when an idea flashed through his mind.
f) Once sitting in the cold, he realized he had not had dinner yet.

Voilà
pour meanwhile et while, il faut les placer tous les deux, donc essaie de voir ou les mettre
